Breast augmentation with implants

Augmentation mammaire par prothèse

Natural results breast augmentation aix-marseille

Breast augmentation was developed to increase the overall volume of the breast and also improve its curve. This breast surgery is possible thanks to the placement of breast implants. The breasts may be insufficiently developed or have diminished following pregnancy or weight loss. Breast augmentation can therefore solve these types of problems. The latest advances in the manufacture of implants have allowed a significant improvement in their tolerance. However, a reaction against them may develop over the years. Adequate and attentive monitoring will prevent any significant complications.

The size and shape of the future breasts will be defined during the preoperative consultation, taking into account the patient's wishes and the surgeon's medical advice. The procedure is short and recovery is gradual; a week of rest may be sufficient to resume daily activities. Resuming sport is recommended after about four weeks.

Your expectations and doubts will be clarified in complete peace during an interview regarding breast augmentation.

After this discussion, a detailed clinical analysis of the breasts will be carried out. The surgeon will then explain the different methods envisaged by taking stock of the position of the scars and the volume of the proposed implants. The shape of the implants will also have to be defined. The implants can be round or anatomical. They give two different aspects. Indeed, the patient can decide on the implant and therefore the upper curve that it will give. The consultation will continue in order to explain the problems and risks that could arise after this type of intervention. A second consultation is sometimes necessary. The discussion will focus on the volume and shape of the implants.

Note: During the clinical examination, breast ptosis may be revealed, in which case we will suggest correcting it at the same time as placing breast implants.

In some cases of severe atrophy, a request for social security coverage is possible. A precise estimate will be given to you in order to determine the remaining amount to be paid by you.

Choice of anesthesia:

Often, augmentation by implant is performed under general anesthesia, but in certain cases (moderate volume implant, subglandular position) local anesthesia may be sufficient to introduce the implant.
